In Oceanside, CA, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children under the age of five. Our mission is to enhance the health and well-being of women and children during these critical stages of growth and development. WIC offers essential services including nutrition education, breastfeeding support, monthly benefits for purchasing nutritious foods, and referrals to medical resources. We serve a diverse population, including pregnant women, non-breastfeeding mothers within six months postpartum, mothers who have recently experienced a pregnancy loss, young children, foster children, and their caregivers such as fathers and grandparents.
