California Pediatric & Family Services (Cal-Peds) is dedicated to empowering, enriching, and assisting families and individuals to reach their fullest potential. Established in 1984, Cal-Peds has been providing specialized services for children with unique needs, employing clinicians from diverse cultural backgrounds who speak multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Dutch. The organization focuses on delivering Intensive Behavior Intervention services specifically for children exhibiting maladaptive or inappropriate behaviors that obstruct learning new tasks. These services are implemented in the environments where the behaviors occur, addressing the specific needs of children with Autism and other developmental disorders. Understanding that these children may not learn like their peers, Cal-Peds emphasizes the importance of a supportive environment, clinical professional support, and teaching appropriate behaviors, social competence, and language skills. Utilizing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), which fosters purposeful learning environments, Cal-Peds’ certified professionals, accredited by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board®, are equipped with the knowledge and skills to develop, implement, and assess effective techniques that result in positive behavioral changes.
