Support Services in Vail, AZ, is dedicated to empowering youth experiencing homelessness in grades 6-12 to stay in school and achieve high school graduation. With a mission anchored in eliminating barriers to education, we provide essential resources including financial assistance, basic needs support, and guidance tailored to the unique challenges faced by housing-insecure youth in Tucson and Pima County. Since 1986, we have made a significant impact by supporting over 1,500 students each year, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed. Our program extends to recent high school graduates up to the age of 24, reinforcing our commitment to foster opportunities for higher education and self-sufficiency. Driven by the voices of the youth we serve, our approach includes financial incentives for school attendance, meeting fundamental needs, and offering continuous support to cultivate productive and empowered community members.
