Located in Marana, AZ, Youth On Their Own (YOTO) is dedicated to empowering homeless youth in grades 6-12 by removing barriers to education and fostering their high school graduation. Since its inception in 1986, YOTO has been a vital resource for over 1,500 students experiencing housing insecurity in Pima County, offering financial assistance, basic necessities, and personalized guidance. Our mission is to ensure that these young individuals can stay engaged in school despite their challenges and to support them in transitioning to higher education or the workforce. We recognize that each youth's needs are unique, which is why our approach includes offering direct financial incentives for school attendance, addressing essential needs, and providing the encouragement they require to realize their aspirations. YOTO envisions a community where all youth, regardless of their circumstances, can thrive as empowered and productive citizens, with continued support available to our graduates up to age 24.
