Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training (DSME)

At the Sun Health Center for Health & Wellbeing in Florence, AZ, our accredited Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training (DSME) program empowers individuals to take control of their diabetes through comprehensive education. Over five weeks, participants will delve into essential topics such as understanding diabetes, adopting healthy eating habits, engaging in physical activity, monitoring their health, medication management, effective problem-solving, healthy coping strategies, and risk reduction. Our program is designed to make diabetes management accessible and practical, and is covered by Medicare and most insurance plans, ensuring that support is within reach for everyone. With a physician referral required for registration, we invite community members to join our ongoing sessions and inquire about available scholarships. Together, we can foster a healthier future.
