William Brey

Flagstaff, AZ US
William Brey understands that learning to embrace emotions—especially the challenging ones—is a lifelong journey. He is continually amazed by the courage displayed by his clients, who open up and engage in the demanding process of counseling. Driven by the belief that sharing one's entire story with another fosters significant growth and healing, he feels privileged to provide a supportive space for this exploration. William’s path in the helping profession began in wilderness therapy, where he served as a Field Guide, assisting clients struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, and various coming-of-age issues. His approach to counseling is rooted in an existential perspective, delving into the meaning of life and individual purpose. Alongside this, he employs Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Gestalt Therapies. With a Bachelor of Science from Northwest Missouri State University, he is currently completing his Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northern Arizona University. William looks forward to connecting with new clients on their journey toward understanding and healing.
