Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training (DSME)

At the Sun Health Center for Health & Wellbeing in Arizona City, AZ, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to take charge of their health through our accredited Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training (DSME) Program. This comprehensive five-week series equips participants with essential knowledge and skills to manage diabetes effectively and prevent complications. Our program covers critical topics such as understanding diabetes, healthy eating habits, the importance of physical activity, effective monitoring techniques, medication management, problem solving, healthy coping strategies, and risk reduction. Supported by Medicare and most insurance plans, our DSME program requires a physician referral for registration, with all paperwork submitted five business days prior to the class start date. We offer classes throughout the year across multiple locations, ensuring that communities have access to vital diabetes management education.
