Emily Holm, LPC, is a dedicated Registered Play Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for working with children, adolescents, and adults. With her extensive experience in treating diverse populations, she specializes in addressing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum issues, and the challenges of transitioning through life's stages, including school and career changes. Emily provides clients with invaluable coping, communication, and relaxation skills to help them achieve their full potential. Her focus areas include anxiety disorders, Autism Spectrum challenges, social skills development, grief, and navigating life transitions into high school and college. Emily earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Exercise and Sport Sciences from Tulane University in 2005 and her Master's degree in Counselor Education with a specialty in Play Therapy from the University of Alabama in 2007. She is trained in various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, mindfulness approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy for clients seeking short-term solutions.
