Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program

The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program, based in Alexander City, AL, is dedicated to supporting individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive, free, and accessible educational journey spanning 12 months. This program, available in both English and Spanish, equips participants with valuable resources that include six informative e-booklets tailored to meet them at their current stage of diabetes management, along with a monthly e-newsletter filled with seasonal tips and community resources designed to help them thrive. Participants also receive information on local events and have the opportunity to engage in a Healthy Living newsletter. By providing their phone number, enrollees can take part in the monthly Ask the Experts Q&A sessions, where they can directly connect with ADA experts to discuss diabetes-related inquiries, understand the relationship between diabetes and heart health, and enjoy giveaways that promote their well-being.
