MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Wainwright, AK, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion services. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran receives annual screening for obesity at VA facilities and has access to personalized treatment options tailored to their unique needs. We offer a variety of care paths including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and our innovative TeleMOVE! service, which allows in-home messaging and clinician support. For those who prefer a self-guided approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app provides resources for independent weight management. Additionally, we offer weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who continue to face challenges with obesity after engaging in the MOVE! program.
