MOVE! Weight Management Program

Located in Sutton, AK, the MOVE! Weight Management Program is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through effective weight management and health promotion strategies. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities is screened for obesity and provided with tailored referrals to weight management services that align with their individual needs and preferences. MOVE! offers a variety of care options, including engaging group sessions, personalized telephone lifestyle coaching, and the innovative TeleMOVE! program, which facilitates in-home messaging and clinician contact. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available, alongside options for weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who may continue to face challenges despite participating in MOVE!.
