MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program in Skagway, AK, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion services. Our mission is to screen every Veteran at VA facilities for obesity annually and connect them to tailored weight management solutions that align with their individual needs. We offer a variety of care options, including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which allows for at-home messaging and clinician contact. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, our MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, we provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who continue to face challenges with weight. Each facility may offer different services, so we encourage Veterans interested in weight management to reach out to their local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider to begin their journey towards a healthier lifestyle.
