Elders Program

Located in Prudhoe Bay, AK, the Elders Program at APIA is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our community's seniors through vital support and comprehensive services. We offer a range of resources including caregiver training, case management, and durable medical equipment to meet basic needs. Our program also includes consumer-directed personal care assistance, respite services, and educational materials focused on fall and injury prevention. We provide assistance with Medicare and Medicaid, facilitate the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), and organize monthly elder food boxes along with social events like teas and potlucks. Our elder transportation services within the Anchorage area ensure seniors can access essential resources, while our advocacy and resource assistance efforts empower older adults in the community. We believe in the importance of mental health support, offering Older Adult Mental Health First Aid training and Gatekeeper training to promote well-being and connection among seniors.
