Elders Program

Located in Ninilchik, AK, the Elders Program at APIA is dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors by providing essential support and resources tailored to their needs. Our mission is to promote a high quality of life for our cherished elders through comprehensive services, including caregiver training, case management, and access to durable medical equipment. We offer personalized care with our Consumer Directed Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Services and respite services, while also prioritizing safety through fall and injury prevention education. Our program assists with Medicare and Medicaid, and enhances community involvement with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). Monthly Elder Food Boxes and social gatherings such as teas and potlucks foster connection and joy among seniors. Additionally, we provide transportation assistance in the Anchorage area and advocate for elder rights and support.
