MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Kwethluk, AK, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion services. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities is screened annually for obesity, with tailored referrals to suitable weight management services. We offer an array of options to accommodate individual needs, including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE! which allows for in-home support through messaging and clinician contact. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app provides valuable resources. Additionally, we recognize that some Veterans may benefit from more intensive interventions, such as weight loss medications or bariatric surgery, after attempting lifestyle changes through MOVE!
