Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program

Located in Iliamna, AK, the Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program is designed specifically for individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. This free, year-long program provides essential resources and knowledge to help participants effectively manage their condition. Offered in both English and Spanish, the program includes six informative e-booklets, each tailored to address key aspects of diabetes management, as well as a monthly e-newsletter filled with seasonal tips for living well with diabetes. Participants are also kept informed about local community events that promote healthy living. By enrolling and sharing their phone number, participants gain access to the 'Ask the Experts' Q&A series, where they can engage directly with diabetes specialists, learn about the relationship between diabetes and heart health, and participate in exciting giveaways.
