Elders Program

APIA's Elders Program in Hooper Bay, AK, is dedicated to uplifting the lives of seniors by providing essential support services that promote health and well-being. We offer a comprehensive range of services including caregiver training, case management, and access to durable medical equipment. Our program features consumer-directed personal care assistant services, respite care, and crucial fall and injury prevention education. We assist with Medicare and Medicaid applications, and engage seniors through our Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). Monthly Elder Food Boxes, community teas, and potlucks foster connection, while our transportation services in the Anchorage area ensure access to vital resources. Through advocacy and resource assistance, we strive to empower our elders, enhancing their quality of life and ensuring they feel supported in our community.
