General Assistance

General Assistance, based in Homer, AK, is dedicated to providing essential support to Alaska Natives and Native Americans in the Chugach Region, including Seward, Valdez, Port Graham, Nanwalek, Tatitlek, and Chenega. Our mission is to offer temporary aid for critical needs such as food assistance, shelter, clothing, and utilities. We understand the urgency of these needs, and our compassionate Local Community Health Representatives (CHR) are here to guide clients through the application process and inform them of the program's benefits. Furthermore, our collaboration with the Regional 477 Program Coordinator helps individuals access valuable career and training opportunities, ensuring a holistic approach to community well-being.
