Elders Program

Located in Chugiak, AK, the Elders Program at APIA is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in our community through vital support services. Our comprehensive offerings include caregiver training, case management, durable medical equipment, and personalized consumer-directed PCA services. We prioritize senior well-being with programs such as respite services, fall and injury prevention education, and assistance with Medicare and Medicaid. Our monthly Elder Food Box provides essential nutrition, while social events like Elder Teas and potlucks foster connection and community. Additionally, we offer transportation services within the Anchorage area, advocacy and resource assistance, as well as mental health first aid training tailored for older adults. Our mission is to empower seniors and ensure they have the support they need to thrive.
