MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Akiachak, AK, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through personalized weight management solutions. Our mission focuses on the prevention and treatment of obesity among Veterans who receive care at VA facilities. We aim to annually screen every Veteran for obesity and connect them with a variety of tailored weight management services, including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and our innovative TeleMOVE! in-home messaging system. For those who prefer a more self-directed approach, our MOVE! Coach mobile app offers accessible self-management tools. Additionally, we provide weight loss medications and bariatric surgery options for Veterans who continue to face challenges with weight-related issues despite program participation.
