Elders Program

At the Elders Program in Akiachak, AK, we are dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our senior community through comprehensive support services. Our mission is to ensure that every elder has access to the resources needed for a healthy and fulfilling life. We provide essential services including caregiver training, case management, and access to durable medical equipment. Our personalized care options, such as Consumer Directed Personal Care Assistant (PCA) services and respite care, empower seniors and their families. We also promote health and safety through fall prevention education and provide aid with Medicare and Medicaid navigation. Additionally, our Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) encourages engagement, while our monthly elder food box and community events, like teas and potlucks, foster connection. Transportation services within the Anchorage area, elder advocacy, and resource access assistance are also vital components of our program, as is training in Older Adult Mental Health First Aid and Gatekeeper Training, ensuring a supportive environment for all elders.
