How Did I Hear About 7cups, You Ask? :O
I feel like I have posted in here before, but this was a month or two ago, so I might as well let a few new people know what caused me to join or find this place in the first place.
Even though I'm a Listener, we are not all perfect. We have our personal issues/problems we deal with, yet we feel the need to put others before us so our problems can be put on a hold.
It was probably a very rain afternoon on the 18th of Februrary. I was in the need to speak to someone that was not someone that I actually new, more like just to vent to a stranger to which I never had to speak to again. I was browsing online, not entirely sure what I would find until I typed in "Where can I go to talk to someone about my problems?" .. then the first thing that popped up was 7cups, so curiousity getting the best of me, I clicked it, connected with a Listener as a Guest and did somewhat receive the help that I needed. They were new of course so they were trying to figure out how the site worked, but then it automatically clicked for me. I have been taking Psychology courses when I was in high school and even right now to the point that I enjoyed helping others and figuring out/understanding their problems.
I have personally been clean from self harm and substance abuse since Feb. 18 and I'm proud to say that. I still have other difficulties that I am trying to take baby steps to recovery. I'm glad I found this place or else I possibly wouldn't technically be on here today, knowing how many people I was able to help and support. It's truly an amazing feeling, but I understand Self-Care is more important. Overall, I've had a wonderful journey over the passed couple of months I've been here! I'm an intern, involved in the community.. Greatest feeling ever!

I learnt about 7cups through a couple of friends who are listeners here, and I really love the experience here and helping others :D
@Milktoast
It's nice that people talk about it to their friends. :)
@KatzPajamaz
We're glad to have you here. Looks like you're an awesome listener (but I can't follow you for some reason *cries*)! Congrats on going without self harming for so long. I think it's been about the same for me too! I hope you stick around for a while and share your vibrant energy with us all and continue to help people! :)
