Hello, am new

robinvh April 22nd

My name is Rob, typical 20 year old college dropout and NEET with no friends or future. I'm here because I wanted to see if I could establish a new support group where I could take my mental health struggles without worry of burdening others and driving them away again. I like to draw, and not much else. I am a little overwhelmed by the site but I owe it to the people who were once in my life to try and better myself.

Hello Rob. Welcome to 7 cups. Happy to have you. I’m also new here just joined not so long ago. We can always connect and talk about these things, if you ever want to! Just let me know. Take care :)

@robinvh welcome robin! I just joined yesterday and I love the cups community. I am also your average college kid so I completely get it. We are in this together 💕

Hi @robinvh! We're very happy you're here.

And I'd like to echo Tree's advice on not focusing too much on the college dropout part; I too was in and out of college for most of my early 20s. I'm nearing 30 now and only just starting to find a path for myself. It took time (and I would be lying if I said I didn't wish I'd sorted out my academic life sooner), but I'm doing what I was meant to be doing all along now. That's priceless.

Sending lots of support your way🌼

@robinvh Welcome to 7cups. We are so glad to have you here. You're not alone. A lot of people, drop out of school after high school. For a lot of reasons. But, some do go back to school after some time off. Maybe, the time off will help you, to know what to take in school. You never know.

@robinvh Hey Rob, it's great to meet you. I admire your courage in reaching out for support. It takes strength to recognize the need for a new support system, especially when you've experienced challenges in the past. Drawing can be a wonderful outlet for expression and self-care! It's okay to feel overwhelmed by this new platform; it can take some time to get used to. Remember, you're not alone in this journey. We're here to listen, support, and help you navigate through your mental health struggles. Your efforts to better yourself are commendable, and I'm here to support you every step of the way :))

@robinvh Hi Rob, welcome to 7 Cups. My name is Ri and I’m really glad you’re here and reaching out. This is a safe space where you can share your feelings and struggles without fear of burdening anyone. It's great that you're taking this step to better yourself, and we're here to support you :D .

@robinvh Heyy, I'm new too, and was JEE Advanced aspirant. *highlight, 'was'

Here for the same reason as you I guess. Good to know there is someone like me on here.

@robinvh Hello Rob. Nice to meet you virtually. I joined this platform a few hours ago. I turned 20 a few months ago and I understand that feeling of thinking the future isn't as bright as we expect. My birthday this year was one of the days which I was at my lowest because it was scary to know that the age won't stop increasing but I couldn't see any significant thing I was doing to make them count. You know what I learnt overtime? Appreciating the small wins. I won't say it works 100% to make me less sad but it does something. You could try that if you haven't yet. It is a great thing for you to have a talent, drawing. if nothing else, a future could be built from there. I wish you happiness, take care.
