Gotta start somewhere. . .
I've been struggling hard lately, I've been trying to draw attention to it and let people know I'm not okay but they don't seem to get it or they just don't know what to do. Even the people who think they get it I'm pretty sure don't because my gameface is just too strong.
Anyway, I was googling descriptions of the can't breath feeling that comes with anxiety and panic attacks and one of the things that came up was an answer on this site. It described depression as wading through water up to your chest, and anxiety as that feeling when your foot misses a step and your heart drops but constantly. These descriptions I thought were great, and not only that I felt my experience in them because I pretty much have felt like I've been in that water - missing steps. . . constantly.
So. . . here I am. . exploring. . .
Welcome to 7 Cups!! I have only shown up fairly recently and have found so much support here. I hope that you will be the same! I have been fighting depression and anxiety for many years, so I know how you are feeling. Know that there is hope and that you CAN persevere and thrive!! Sending hugs!!

Thank you for taking the time to reply :)
@Aluriia I am glad to! I am not a listener, so you can't message me directly, but know I'm now your friend and in your 'corner'!! We can do this together!!
I heard about 7 cups through an internet friend. I started off as a member and then decided to become a listener as I have always helped people even since I was very young.
Joining has also provided me with more detail about the book I am writing on mental health called 'Through Our Eyes'. Here is the link to the introduction if you wish to read it:
