As @Seaway said, it is better than nothing. It's the thought that counts.
We want it to help because we aren't there to do it in person, we hope we can help at least a little through the miles that seperate us.
It helps some people and just because you do not find it as "mature" then you don't have to be so negative towards people who get help out of it.
