Meetup 7cups
No... Definitely not.
@sincereStrawberries3870
Good question.
Lol. It's an anonymous site for a reason.
No, that would be a violation of the community guidelines ^^ Offsite contact is not allowed
Offsite contact is very definitely allowed.
What if a husband and wife both join 7 Cups? Must they separate forever? What if I am chatting to a guy at a party and he says he's a member of 7 Cups? Must I run away? Indeed, one of the purposes of 7 Cups' college chapters is to bring people together in real life.
The community guidelines do not allow sharing personal contact information on 7 Cups, (edited by BurningEmber to remove outdated information)

you know what I meant... either way offsite contact is no longer allowed. You can't do offsite contact with people you didn't know before

Hey there! Meetups actually do occur from time to time, however to participate you must be an adult and this event must be organized at a large city. A meetup hasn't been organized for awhile, but if you'd like to look into one for sometime eventually you can check it out this post. Best of luck!

Hey Emily. I know that forum exists but meetups no longer happen because of the site's no offsite contact rule
@BurningEmber
You're correct yes you cannot have a random meetup, but if it's organized by a Community Manager, such as @Laura , I think it should be alright and all attendees are pre-approved and all of that. The no offsite contact rule has been in place for a long time (at least as long as I've been here) but that's an exception as it's organized by a CM and those attending have to be approved
@Emily619
Interesting... I hope @Laura or @Amelia can weigh in about this soon
As an anonymous chat site, we have a community guidelines prohitting sharing personal information. This includes social media, email address, phone number.. etc. Meeting strangers on the internet can have its risks and its best to keep your interaction on 7 Cups.
We have discussed meet-ups in the past and the idea comes up a lot. However, we are not doing them at this time. If and when we do decide to try them, we'd provide information in alignment with our community guidelines. Safety of our users is our first priority.
Hope this helps!
@Laura
Thanks for the response to clarify!
