My name is Lifexperienced, and I'm new here. I wonder how long you wait after starting a session and there's no response?

@Lifexperienced

Welcome to 7 Cups and thanks for signing up to listen! If your member is not responding, it may be that the member has changed their mind about wanting to talk, had to go suddenly, or doesn’t know how to respond to you. Members that put in a general request but don’t respond when it’s picked up are called ‘ghosts’. Give them a few minutes, send a message reaffirming your desire to listen and to support them, perhaps telling them that you understand it isn’t easy to talk to a stranger. You can see in the drop down menu of 1 on 1 chats you’ve had if the member is still online – if they are, the circle next to their name will be green, otherwise red means they are offline. After five minutes or so, send a message saying that you’d be happy to reconnect when they’re next back, and end the chat.

If you'd like to do some reading, we've got a comprehensive orientation document that answers many listener scenario questions! HERE.

@Heather225 Im very interested in the 7 Cups internships. I was just wondering- if I sign up for an internship once am I able to be an intern again once my internship time frame is up? Or is it only a one time opportunity? Thank you!
