Cats!

They bolth have pros and cons. in the end (for me) I'd say cats are better.

I've never been afraid of cats (a neighbor's dog used to always chase after me and tried to bite me when I was a little kid, so I always had to go into survival mode whenever said neighbor stopped by), and I'm not allergic to them, either...but as of more recent years, I've met a few nice dogs that have helped to improve my opinion of them.

I guess, if I didn't know their behavior beforehand, that cats are the safer option for me. The worst that a cat has done to me is hiss and flee, but I'd rather it be that than me being the one to hiss and flee.

I say both because both of them are such a lovely creature to hug

I like dogs better, but I think if I were one of the two it'd be a cat.
