Seeking help and intro

LeighUnruly40 November 10th

Hi all I'm new to this completely but lived with multiple mental health issues for over 30 years and only recently been diagnosed. I want to get comfortable, make friends and share my story but I don't know how to begin and feel odd. My name is Leigh I'm male and 40 years old from London. I have been diagnosed with complex PTSD, BPD, EUPD Severe depression and anxiety and I suspect I also have either ADD or ADHD and Body Dismorphia.

Wow thank you Lola, don't worry I'm a fan of Wales 😂 I climbed mount Snowdon and got lost! Your words are really kind and when I post my story I will certainly tag you in it so you can read it and support me. That's ever so kind. Just one thing, how do I do that 🤣 I am so new to everything about this. A little bit of guidance would be very much appreciated 😁

Hi Leigh,

First off, I just want to say thank you for sharing. Opening up about your mental health journey, especially after so many years, is a big deal, and I admire your courage in doing so. It sounds like you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time, and I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for you.

I want you to know that here, you’re welcome to be yourself, no matter what. There’s no judgment—only understanding and space for you to express whatever’s on your mind. It’s not odd at all to feel the way you do. Connecting with others about something so personal can be really hard, especially when you’ve been navigating mental health challenges for so long. But sharing your story is a powerful way to start finding that sense of connection and belonging.

You’re not alone in this, and I’m happy to listen to you and support you however I can. I’d love to hear more about what you’ve been through and how you’re feeling right now. If you’re comfortable, feel free to share whatever you’re ready to, whether it’s about your journey, your interests, or just how things are going at the moment.

You’ve already done something really important by reaching out, and that’s something to be proud of. I’m here, and I’m happy to chat whenever you’re ready.

Take care of yourself, Leigh. You’ve got this.😊

I really don't know how to say how much this means to read to myself from someone else I never met. The support here is amazing, I've never known an online place like this. Thank you for your words and your support.
