It keeps saying my post sounds like I'm in crisis
I've been trying to respond to someone in one of my own threads and the site just won't let me because it says something in my post sounds like I may be in crisis (I'm not) and I should contact crisis support...
I honestly can't understand why this is happening. I don't think anything in my post points to me being in crisis. I'm talking about a breakup and I'm not even really talking about myself, I'm talking about the actions of my partner... but there's nothing in there that's concerning. Whatever the AI is that does that is clearly not very good at it and I don't understand why 7cups is using it when it's preventing users from posting.
I'm actually really annoyed by this.
@confusedRaven6140 You're right, it's not very good at it. But you're wrong about it being an AI. That's the problem, really. It's not even an AI, just a secret list of banned words and phrases.
In the past I have worked around it by posting one sentence at a time in order to find out where the problem is. Then, in the problem sentence, I misspelt some words so that they no longer matched the secret list.
Many people have been annoyed by it, but so far people being annoyed by it has never helped.

@RarelyCharlie I eventually figured out what the offending phrase was and I can see why... but yeah, it was used in a completely different context. I don't understand why they prevent the post from being made? Like they could just give that warning/link to resources and still let the post be made. Like, people who really want to post something like that will find a way around it so claiming it prevents triggering content or something like that is just a very weak excuse.
@confusedRaven6140 I imagine they fear being held responsible for "copycat" suicide attempts, so they need to be able to claim they did everything possible to prevent anyone from getting ideas about harm from the forum. I agree with you that it's a very weak excuse, but maybe it's felt to be enough for a legal defence.
