I'm a new member
Hey everyone, how are you all doing this week?
I'm a 14 years old trying my best to balance my school work and personal life. I like video games, baking, exercise, arts (visual, diy, ceramics, you name it), sleeping, and anime. I'm not a listener but I'll try my best to keep in touch with you. Just ask if you need any help, especially something related to school!
As a newbie, I also need a lot of help (T△T) so any advices and tips from you would be great!
Please ask if you have any questions about me. But anyway, I really wish you all a good year. Have a nice day!♥︎
🎃 HAPPY HALLOWEEN! ☆ミ

@MiracleMagicalIdol Hey there, MiracleMagicalIdol! Welcome to 7 Cups! It's great to have you here. Balancing school work and personal life can be quite a challenge, but I believe in your ability to handle it all!
As a student in college I also play quite a number of video games on my PC during the time I procrastinate. If you ever need any advice or tips, feel free to ask!
Thank you, Snor1ax! Glad to meet someone who can relate to me. Please share with me any study tips or college and highschool advices in general that has helped you improve.
Goodluck out there, buddy. It was nice meeting you. Have a nice day!
@MiracleMagicalIdol Thank you! So one of my biggest tips is somewhat stolen from James Clear's book "Atomic Habits", but that is helping me through college is the 2 minute-rule. Basically, you'll find any task can be scaled down to something that can be done in 2 minutes. Studying for an exam? Open your notes. Term paper? Write a title and introduction sentence. The real goal is just showing up and starting the habit, no matter how small the initial action. It's basically that a habit needs to be started before it can be improved upon. If you have problems with the fundamental skill of consistently showing up, or just giving yourself that pat on the back, it becomes challenging to master a subject or start a habit.

Happy Spooky Season! ❤️❤️❤️
14 can be such a rough age and balancing school and personal life on top of that is definitely difficult. What all have you tried doing in order to get through this difficult time?
