Getting angry from people
Hey you ever watch something and get so angry from hearing what deeds some people have done, y'know THOSE people?
@KrytheKaizo
very relatable yes. anything specific that's triggered the anger?
@Heather225 the audacity criminals have to get a denfense lawyer when they know damn well what they did,
@KrytheKaizo so criminals should somehow say, “whoops, my bad I’m guilty lock me up,” rather than get a lawyer? For sure, it’s maddening when people break the law and try to get away with no consequences. But to expect honest contrition might just be setting yourself up for disappointment and anger.
a member told me he lusts his mother, and can’t stop. She gave consent too, but told her son not to tell anyone. It makes me upset. How do I navigate?! Help.
@mentalhealthwealth you’re not obligated to continue the conversation if it makes you uncomfortable but if you do continue listening perhaps you could distance yourself from the story. It’s their story, their struggle, not yours. Either way, use self awareness and self compassion for your reaction and do what you need to for yourself.
I reminded him of the consequences of his temptations.
i exited the conversation graciously.
Thank you for your kind words and guidance. It means more than you know!
