still going ...

IdeasOfReference August 3rd

still getting the same treatment: bullying, mind games, gaslighting, and here too

and if I try to talk about I get either "well, what did you do wrong?" or the passive-aggressive pity-party of "that must be so isolating, I'm sorry you are going through that" (literally exactly that)

never, ever will anyone say, "what you are experiencing is profoundly wrong and a grave injustice and should not be tolerated in a system that respects the fundamental principles law and fairness"

imagine being such a cruel, sick person to engage in that kind of conduct, especially under the pretence of offering "support"

Welcome, Ideas,

Thank you for your thoughtful post. Please remember to use a trigger warning when discussing distressing content.

Are you referring to your experience in your personal life or here on 7 Cups, or both?

It's completely plausible to receive empathy from a trained active listener regarding your encounter with mistreatment. As always, it will depend on who you speak with both in everyday life and here on 7 Cups. Perhaps something to take into consideration is - why does this type of support upset you?

If someone is not a good match for you, it's always okay to voice that and visit the Browse Listeners page to connect with someone else by clicking here -> Browse Listeners | 7 Cups.

I, for one, vehemently oppose bullying behavior of any kind and will step outside my comfort zone to address it on behalf of myself or someone else, especially children. Your feelings are certainly valid and well-written I might add.

What type of support would you find more beneficial?

Stay safe.
