Triggers
When you are triggered by a person place or event, how do you cope with the trigger? Something that I was taught to do by a mentor was to journal about my triggers and it helped a lot. What are some of your tools that you use?

Hi, Maple! Thank you very much for your post. Triggers are a very common obstacle for many people processing trauma. I think becoming aware of what your triggers are and why while beginning to chip away at the logic of it all helps. If we can anticipate the things that upset us and understand the function, we can learn to navigate better in the future.
I very much utilize taking alone time to process, reading, walking, listening to music, and introspective writing. In certain scenarios I will seek advice from others. When I feel I am in a neutral stable space I will expose myself to the trigger again, hopefully doing better this time.
Great topic! Enjoy your stay! 💝
