Recognizing and accepting my trauma

One of the ways I have worked through my trauma was recognizing and accepting what has happened. That was simply the first step though because it has taken years for me to work through it. I still have a few setbacks but I can start to feel the difference. I know that it is tough, but as long I keep pushing through each day then there are small rewards and milestones that I start to notice and feel.

@nexus220

With traumatic incidents and experiences, specially, brain is bound to go freeze and it's really understandable how hazy and stuck one feels to even comprehend what they experienced.

Recognizing the same, accepting and trying to embrace the current situation is beyond difficult, I feel, but also the most "needed" step.

I feel, healing needs acknowledgement and acceptance. So I'm super proud of you for trying to do the same and walking your path.

Sending good vibes and strength to keep going!😊

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou thank you! That is a great way to explain it! It does almost feel like a fog that I am stuck in. Nothing ever feels so clear but it's never "too hazy" for the most part.

@nexus220Good for you and it's good you are improving.

I agree it does take along time...it's only after able 10 years that I am beginning to feel like I am healing and have gradually been able to say a little and admit what actually happened.  Not that I do normally but at least I can now

May Gic heal you and help you deal with this.
