Mental Health on Youtube

SmileYoureWorthIt February 11th, 2017

A while back, when I first told one of my closest friends how I truly felt and thus started my mental health journey, she shared the name of a youtuber, Kati Morton. Kati is a liscensed therapist and mental health advocate who creates videos on youtube about all things mental health- eating disorders, depression, anxiety, self harm and more! As she has been making videos for over 3 years now, there are hundreds out there, and you are bound to find one that holds the answers and enlightenment you've been searching for. However, with her website Katimorton.com, you need not worry if you can't find the answer you're looking for as you can ask your question and the ever-growing community of "kinions" is there to offer up their own experiences and help. Your question may even be used in an upcoming video. From explanations of diagnosis to open, raw, honest discussions, to collaborations with other youtubers and professionals, to FAQ videos, to livestreams, Kati has done an amazing job of ensuring no one ever has to wonder about mental health or feel alone. I even gleamed one of my favorite quotes from her: Recovery is a process, not an event.

I really cannot say enough about this incredible person and resource. Don't take it from me! Go check it out yourself: https://www.youtube.com/user/KatiMorton/about
