What magical powers do you wish you had as a kid?
Hi Everyone ❤️! Today’s post is going to be about magical powers. When we are young, sometimes we may have wished we had super powers to fix problems or save the day. We may even have pretended that we had super powers so that we could be like the superheroes on television.
- What is a magical power you wish you had when you were a kid?
- What did you want to do with this super power?
- What super power do you dream of today?
For me, a magical power I wish I had when I was a kid was to tell the future. What I wanted to do with this power is be able to know when something bad is going to happen so that I could prevent it from happening. Additionally, even today I still dream of having that power. What about you?
I look forward to seeing your responses 😊

Being able to tell when something bad is going to happen would be a great superpower. I find though that mindfulness can help us to be very aware of our surroundings so we can notice possible changes. A very simple example is noticing the change of the sky, the smell of the air before rain but it can also refer to other things.
- What is a magical power you wish you had when you were a kid? As a child I always wanted to be able to fly
- What did you want to do with this super power? Fly high in the sky and observe what's going on beneath me
- What super power do you dream of today? Today I wish I could heal people from their wounds.
Hi @amiablePeace77, having the ability to fly as a super power sounds great. When I was kid, I saw how Superman could fly and I tried to attempt to fly just like him. Additionally, having the ability to heal people from their wounds is a great power to have today. I also wish I could heal everyone from their pain, so I glad that we both agree on that😊

Being a child is a superpower in and of itself. The benefits of being a child are astounding. You don't have to be sorry, you don't have to second-guess anything, and you don't have to consider yourself. You are not required to take part in the dramas.
What makes you believe that the majority of those who respond to these question are adults(matured)?
Most of them are still kids. Enjoy the time.
@SoulPitstop
I hear you, although I'm not young at all anymore, the child in me is still alive and it is like a superpower to let it out and just enjoy the moment.
@amiablepeace77 child in you? " A soul, energy, or aura doesn't have the concept of aging. It's just your body maturing as we consume things in the name of food. If you know that you are still learning, then you are a kid, physically as well as mentally. Don't think you are an adult just because everyone asks your age in this society. They do not know what they are asking or talking about. However, your body is just like a fruit and it will ripen one day as we consume a lot. Therefore, if there is a lot to learn, then you are still a kid. We are mentally stuck with the ideas of this society. Just ignore it and start playing with the kids. Make up your mind. Your body will support you. Enjoy and all the best
Hi @SoulPitstop, I never thought that being a kid is superpower in itself. You gave me a new perspective on superpowers and I appreciate you bringing it up in this discussion. Additionally, it is true that being a kid can come with benefits such as not having to worry about anything. Even though I am in my late-adolescent years, Sometimes I wish I was a young kid again so that I could relive some of the fun memories I had 😊.

@Desmynn6789 I always wanted to stop time because I thought it would be cool to go and get the stuff I like while the time was paused and to cheat on test or something. Now I still want the same powers I still think there cool.
@azureJet99, I think having the ability to stop time is still cool as well. There is so much you can do with the ability. Like for example if I was a kid, and if had the ability to stop time, I would’ve stolen a slice a cake that my mom made. She never let me taste the cake before dinner and I use to always be sad about it. However, if I had the ability to stop time today, I would use it to protect people from disasters.

When I was 8ish, I had a pillow that I would put on my head to make myself invisible. I wanted my dad to stop "picking on me", and being invisible would have been handy.
Now I would want to slow down time so I have a chance to think or more time for my hobbies. Or shapshift so I could see what birds see in the sky and what bees see in flowers. I also want to see those shrimp colors.
@YellowBee23
I can relate since I had the same wish as a child. Being "picked on" wasn't fun at all!
There are so many beautiful things to see in the world, when I do a mindfulness walk it feels like time is slowing down.
Whenever I hike, I spend a lot of time admiring the moss on the ground!
Hi @YellowBee23, the ability to shape shift sounds pretty cool. I always wanted to know what it felt like to be an animal and live in the wild. When I was younger, I use to pretend to be a dog to see if I could actually turn into one someday.

I'm not sure I would handle being wild well, but I bet dogs have fun chasing their tails.

When I was a child, I wanted to be invisible. I don't know if you remember, there is an episode in Tom and Jerry where Jerry is gifted an invisible potion by a fairy. How I wanted that potion too!
I think I just wanted to escape. I always dreamt of travelling and going far away. I used to think, no one would notice me, I don't really have to take tickets and all because no one would see me. I can go wherever I want!
Somehow I feel like my wish to be invisible came true. I'm silent, I back away from gatherings, I'm just not active in anything so people tend to kind of look over me.....like they can't see me. So, today, I don't wish to be invisible at all. I yearn to be seen.
@chrysanthemum97, I do remember that episode of Tom & Jerry. That use to be my favorite as well and every time I got done watching it, I use to play Tom and jerry and pretend to become invisible. Additionally, I am sorry that you feel that everyone looks over you. I use to feel the same way, so I understand what you are going through. I hope that one day you feel like you are seen again, so that you don’t have to feel invisible anymore 😊.

When I was a kid I wished I were invisible. I would have used it to be in a room without anyone noticing. Maybe I would have used it to rescue people in danger or sneak a cookie. But mainly to just be invisible so I could move around without people knowing. I'm not so sure I need a super power today, but if I had to choose one I think it would be reading minds. I would love to hear what people are thinking so I would have a better idea of what is really going on.
I've always wanted to fly. I recall once when I was a child I had a dream that I could flap my arms and fly. I remember the pure joy it brought me. In my dream, I was waiting at the end of our driveway waiting for the bus in the morning. It was foggy and I flapped my arms; up I went. I could see the bus approaching and I let out a laugh as I saw the flashers turn on because I realized I didn't have to go to school that day.
Then I woke up, and the crushing disappointment was almost too much to bear. Many years later, there was a Calvin and Hobbes strip and he described a similar dream to Hobbes, so I don't think that mine was unique, but I still wish I could fly
