Vulnerability
What do we understand by this concept? Would you say you are vulnerable and at what point in your life do you become vulnerable ? Is it safe to be vulnerable?
As an individual, I personally see vulnerability as a way of exposing myself to people, showing and expressing my whole being to selected few of course. To me it is living my life wholeheartedly I talk about everything and anything without the fear of being scarred, injured or hurt. I know I am not perfect and I wouldn't deny my flaws and imperfections, the make me ME. Living my life with courage, compassion and connection according to Brene Brown, having the willingness to tell my story and feel the pain of others and stay genuinely connected with people in this world. Vulnerability means different things to different people as we all see things in different ways, it goes beyond exposing yourself, it makes you weak and very susceptible to attack and betrayal and sorts. As we grow we see different reasons why being vulnerable is a sign of being Strong and not weak or feeble, we see vulnerability as a way of accepting ourselves and being resilient to a lot of things. Being vulnerable is safe but or all depends in who you sharing things with, you have to understand and know the person or group of friends you talking to, there should be a level of trust and genuine connection. It is amazing when you have a friend or two that loves you for your strengths and struggles, who embrace your imperfections, vulnerabilities and fill you with a sense if belonging. You can be that friend as well. Share your thoughts and opinions about this. I am open to new things. Thank you
