Distorted Thoughts

I have cognitive distortions which made me extremely worried about things and I sometimes find it hard to fall asleep at night because of these negatuve thoughts. I just want to know if this could be rooted down from my childhood? I alwayd thought I have a loving family but why have I developed this?

@acaiberry8 I am sorry you have trouble falling asleep. That can be a problem over time.
Why it happens is beyond my knowledge. The most I can offer is things that work to help me sleep better. I find that stopping working on computer and phones helps me. I also try to avoid caffeine as that seems to wire my brain into hyper drive. I like mint teas or chamomile to help slow down. I find if I exercise it helps me relax more. And a diet that is healthy and low in carbs seems to give me a more relaxed mood.
These are just a few things that help me. I hope you get the support you are looking for.
