Health Benefits of Nurturing Plants at Home
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well. I was thinking about how I often share with my clients that they must remember in order to grow they need the right conditions just like a plant, enough water, sun and nurturing. They also need to remember that every time they water their own plants in their home that they should be also tending to their own garden and checking-in with themselves on how they can care for themselves.
Did you know that having plants in your home comes with health benefits? Pretty cool, right?! :) You can learn more about them below.
Plants reduce stress and make you feel happier
Studies have shown that plants help you to feel happier, more grateful and healthier and it can even help if you have a space in your home to own a plant or even bring one to the office. Plants have been known to reduce stress, anxiety and fatigue.
Plants can make you feel better!
Certain plants have been found to help you cope with having allergies. Pretty remarkable! Plants can also help you feel better from common colds too.
Plants add a natural and beautiful aesthetic to any room
One of my favourite things about plants is that they can brighten up any room and make it feel more brighter and natural. It can add a nice touch to just about any room!
Plants purify the air you breathe in
As we know, plants help us breathe in healthier oxygen which is incredible! They help to purify the air and remove toxins.
If you are a big plant fan like me, please show us some pictures of your plants or if you do not have any yet, perhaps you can share with us your favourite plant?
@LisaMeighanMBPsS, you are right I have many plants inside my home and they give me peace and clean air. Thanks for sharing.
Here are some of the flowers that have bloomed in my garden. Please keep sharing yours! 🌻
@LisaMeighanMScGMBPsS those are beautiful. I have indoor plants like these Christmas Cactus that bloom once or twice a year https://www.etsy.com/listing/1518417599/variegated-christmas-cactus-rooted-plant?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=christmas+cactus+png&ref=sr_gallery-1-6&frs=1&organic_search_click=1
@soulsings
Soul, so beautiful! I might add this to my plant collection :)
@LisaMeighanMScGMBPsS they are lovely blooms but they are only blooming for a week before they start to fade. If I water them infrequently it is better for them. Then when they bloom I water them and the blooms last a little longer.
The story behind these, they were my mother's and when I brought them home after her passing they were not blooming. As soon as I brought them to my home, little buds started forming and within 2 weeks they were blooming. It felt like a commemoration of my mom's life.
