Relationships and Past Pains

Imperfect6 April 12th, 2023

Moving on without healing from past experiences in relationships is a common phenomenon that occurs for a variety of reasons. One of the main reasons is the pressure to conform to societal expectations that emphasize the importance of finding a new partner quickly after a breakup. People may feel compelled to start a new relationship without properly processing their emotions and experiences from the previous one.

Additionally, some people may find it difficult to confront and deal with their emotional baggage from past relationships. This may be due to fear of vulnerability, lack of trust in others, or a belief that they should just "get over it" and move on.

Another reason why people may move on without healing from past experiences in relationships is the desire to avoid the discomfort and pain of confronting their emotions. Revisiting past experiences and addressing unresolved emotions can be challenging and may require a significant amount of time and effort.

Lastly, some people may simply not realize the importance of healing from past experiences before entering a new relationship. They may underestimate the impact of their past on their current relationships and not recognize the potential harm they could cause themselves and their partners.

Overall, moving on without healing from past experiences in relationships is a common occurrence, but it is important to recognize the value of addressing past emotions and experiences to promote healthy relationships in the future.

Love this post … you need to heal and do self care post break up and you go through a grieving process and you should be first on the list and not another relationship.

Why? Simply you are worthy of the self care and time to settle into a new normal and emotions often are all over the place agree. It is not as simple as moving on agree.

I personally take a long time to re balance post break ups. It is my nature and my mind heart and body must all be ready before I take on more stress essentially a new relationship.

The vulnerability post relationship can be debilitating and cause major depression. All experiences in life contribute to your relationships childhood traumas impact attachment in relationships as well. I am anxiously attached and that is tough for anyone avoidant. Knowledge is power.

I hope more chime in to read other people’s views .. thank you for this post. πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•
