I visited Narshingarh Wildlife Sanctuary in India!
It's memorable because I climbed a mountain there! Reached top height and enjoyed the cool breeze on my face!! It was a treasure for me! Unforgettable moment!

Hi, Ami,
Can I say, up in the air? I'm a pilot, and when I was learning to fly--the first time I flew solo--is etched in my memory for all eternity.
So cool that you are a pilot! One of my bucket list dreams to fly a plane. Closest I’ve gotten is sitting next to the pilot on some small plane hops. Up in the air must be a great experience when you’re driving!

I enjoy flights in commercial aircraft in the passenger seats.
Kri Island in northeast Indonesia. I went out to scuba dive at night. The air was warm, humid and salty. The sky was filled with stars, I felt like a superhero in my wetsuit with the wind in my hair, and in the wake of the boat glowed green bioluminescence. I will never forget that night.

Hard to make a choice when one has had the opportunity to see so many! The question is not very inclusive for those who never really went far from their own homes, often due to financial circumstances, however...
In this time of the year, it would be a choice between the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo on New Year's Eve or the Xmas eve celebrations in front of Notre-Dame de Paris in the 60s which a long piece of religious theatre ( a "miracle" as they are called).
What really made those places exciting was the human element.

I found one of the most memorable places I ever visited right here where I live, it's a wonderful place with beautiful pools in the sea.

I learned so much about myself and who I am and accepted all of it. From that point on I’ve been my own best friend.

we stayed at a hotel, and our vacation turned into quite an adventure sort of like the National Lampo vacation movie.

Cancun was pretty incredible!! But what really made it special was the company: Mom, only Daughter and yes even the Ex Husband (heehee). This was back in 2003, and not to be negative but this was a much cleaner and safer Cancun! That being said I would still revisit those turquoise, clear waters, white sands, the mayan ruins that are stil intact, and the beautiful people and great food. I was even in awe seeing the iguanas like I see lizards here.

You are a fellow adventurer! Always wanted to see the salt flats in Bolivia but haven’t made it there. Yet! What’s the next destination? I’m dreaming of Central Asia!

Salar de Uyuni during the rains—night sky mirrored, constellations on the ground—absolutely surreal. Thought Ladakh’s starry skies were unbeatable, but this stole the show. Next stop? Haven’t decided yet, but Iceland’s northern lights are a dream. Central Asia sounds epic too— Flaming cliffs in Mongolia, Gates of *** in Turkmenistan. When are you heading there?
Ah, Uyuni has to high on my list. Sounds and looks enchanting! I haven’t been to Iceland either! Most of my travels have been tropical places. Still working on getting my anxiety to a level I can travel further afield so probably will be a while for Central Asia, but I can always start planning! Last trip was a more manageable one to Scotland. It was gorgeous and the people wonderful but not as off the beaten path as I prefer.
@greenPine4193 Totally! Tropical places are amazing. I totally get the anxiety part, but planning is definitely half the fun and the fret. Scotland sounds incredible – I've always wanted to visit too! It has that dark, mystical vibe, like the one that inspired Shakespeare to write Macbeth. Plus, the historic charm with medieval castles. Maybe it is the bookworm in me having unrealistic expectations.
