Mental wellness is an internal state of being that is affected by many variables, such as our environment, relationships, and overall health & well-being.

Our mental state is influenced by many factors such as creativity, mood but also by external factors like the holidays. 


It’s important to be aware of the things that affect us internally and externally especially as we hear and see all these images and videos depicting "happy shoppers."


Here are some self-reflection prompts that can help to get us through the holidays when things feel difficult:

  1. What is most important to me now?

  2. What do I really need?

  3. Am I really hungry or do I want to compensate with food?

  4. How can I get past "I'm too tired to exercise?"

  5. What simple things am I grateful for?

  6. Am I authentic to myself?

  7. What thoughts have been occupying my mind today?

  8. Am I taking care of myself right now? How?

Making self-reflection a regular practice in our life can support our mental and physical well-being.

That's a pretty good way💫! More specifically, we can classify self reflection according to various spheres of life like career, relationships, emotional wellness, physical health etc. That would bring a more better clarity of thought!

I think that right now the most important thing for me is to take care of my health while I am running back and forth to the hospital. Pacing myself, dressing well for the weather changes and the cold hospital. 

I am grateful that I have a pretty good mind, a home to live in, and a dog that loves me😊
