i dont know what to do now.
i know that weed isnt that hard of a drug, but i cant really function without it anymore. im always so irritated and sad but once i smoke its all gone. ive noticed that ive been smoking more and more lately and its scary.
@boofdelivery At least you are recognizing that your reliance on weed is a problem! That's the first step. Next is to pinpoint situations/moods/thoughts/times of day that make you want to reach for the weed- so then, you'll know when to have your guard up against yourself so you can choose something healthier. Make it physically harder for you to access your weed- keep it in the back of a high cabinet, keep it where it'll be a chore to fetch. Also, keep yourself away from places you usually go to smoke weed if possible- if you feel you can't control yourself, sit in a public space. Then, have alternatives that give you some dopamine and distraction- it won't be the same as weed, but your body will thank you in the long run. Anxious thoughts won't stop--> watch an engaging show, play an engaging video game, sing along to a song, play a logic puzzle game like wordle or sudoku. Panicked with a high heart-rate--> go for a run or do cardio in place (preferably with music or a podcast so you cannot think). Physically frazzled--> chug some water, tie a jacket or shirt tightly around your middle like a hug, smell something nice, sit in the sunlight. Depressed--> no isolating allowed, get out of your room or living space and do something you used to enjoy in public. Feeling alone--> use your phone for its original purpose.
