Seek Therapy for Your Addiction!
Hi, Everyone!
My name is Hannah but I got by Anne. However, please just call me Hannah. I understand that many of you have concerns about your drug and alcohol addictions and need urgent help. I was going to try and suggest reaching out to a therapist of your own in your local city or county or on 7 cups (needs a referral - send me a message and I can refer you to a therapist on 7 cups). I’ve been doing some thinking about some ways to help people genuinely who struggle dealing with drugs and alcohol addiction and I have found two forms of skills to help them out. First: —> Getting a referral or calling a local DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) center and Second:— > Cognitive Re-structuring. DBT as the name states is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and it helps you cope with addictions and provides short-term therapy and intense treatment care for those of you who have been dealing with your addictions for a long time. On the other hand, cognitive re-structuring is the art of turning your negative thoughts in your mind into positive thoughts. Anyone can practice this skill; however, since many of you have a challenging time staying sober, you will need the help of a therapist to begin practicing this skill. — Please reach out to me on 7 cups if you believe you would benefit from a listener. In the event you are in crisis, please reach out to the National Suicide Hotline (the number is on the internet; please look it up), a local crisis center, a DBT therapist, or a regular therapist. Keep fighting! Stay strong! You got this! Sending you lots of happy thoughts and kindness your way! - Hannah
