Sometimes when I drink and a stressful situation comes up I drink a little too much and become mean to those around me. I always feel like I'm a different person in that situation like I don't know who I am.

@peanut322I think it's good to drink some wine when you're in a bad mood, because it can relieve stress. This is a normal behavior. You don't have to blame yourself too much. Everyone has different ways to relieve stress. I believe you will slowly Find a way to regulate your emotions

@peanut322 I think you can control the amount of your drinking or just trying to control yourself which are the things you can be paid off. For example, my mind is still clear even though my face is red when i am drunk. Friends say i have no difference with the normal myself. I think what induces you to lose temper is that you have too much stress in your daily which you never get the chance to let those shit out. And after you drink, your mental restriction becomes weaker and all the negative things crash out which you can control. If you think that is the reason, i think the problem more serious than being unbecoming after drinking is how to relieve yourself from daily stress. You can try to to the things you like when you feel bad or just find something soft to punch. Generally, what you need to do it to make sure what trigger this phenomenon first and then think about a solution which fits you. Don't put all the duties on yourself because sometimes the world is real shity that always drives people crazy.

I struggle with this as well. I think if alcohol is causing you to be mean to those you normally would not, you may want to think about cutting back. I like to drink heavily in social situations but I have been reading tips on how to slow down, such as drink something non-alcoholic in between beverages and try to avoid pre-gaming too much.
