Burnt out to be fair
So this has been bugging me for awhile now :( i'm currently a highschooler on-going college soon, and im not exactly the best student ever, but i absolutely can't pay attention at all. my attention span is really short, and i cant focus on studying for the same subject for very long. However i have some really (and i do mean it) important tests coming soon (like on next month?) and it is making me feel so terrible (mainly because im really not prepared). The tests themselves are making me feel terrible. Every night i close my eyes they would haunt me and trigger my anxiety attack and i can't get enough sleep. Please help :( i need advices on how to make myself feel better...
@courteousWater2527, have you considered reaching out to your school counselor to see if there is someone they could get you in contact with that helps with academic struggles? I don't mean that you get bad grades but sometimes there is a person who takes students to a separate room during tests that allows them quiet and can focus better.
Short attention spans, maybe you can study in tiny bits at a time, but if you only have a month left, it may be a bit difficult to be fully prepared for your exams. Could you get a tutor to help you prepare for the exams? Counsellors are there to listen, but maybe they could help find you someone who works with students with special needs (in your case, short attention spans, not being able to focus, exam anxieties that causes panic attacks). I remember back to when I was in high school, we had a teacher in the Career Planning, that also helped students with these kinds of needs. I also know someone who studied in this specific field and worked in high schools helping these types of students.
If this is not available at your school, you'll have to start studying in tiny bits for your exams. Study for as long as your attention allows you, but make sure that you don't veer away from your studies. This is not the time to procrastinate, even when you attention-span tells you that you can't handle studying for long periods of time!~

Thank you so much for the advice! I am currently attending tutor sessions so hopefully I won't end up that badly? and for the counselor thing -- honestly my school is pretty bad. It doesn't really care about the students & frankly the psychological and counseling bits are really off, but I will indeed be trying my best <:) That is something i need to work on, lol. And again thank you very much!!

High school is hard so are the tests, I am currently in high school as well and what I like to do when studying different subject is switch the topics when I start to lose attention, if I got bored reading history textbook, I'll do some math problems, once I lost my attention towards that, I go study for my computer science quiz, just like that, try to divide your attention to different subject instead of focusing on one and not making any progress.
