A B is not a bad grade.
I'm in college, and though my GPA has been good I can't help but think about how it could be better you know?
Like I get mainly A's and some B's, but all I can think about is how B's aren't as good as A's even if by definition there is nothing wrong with getting B's. I'm just mainly trying to convince myself that getting a B isn't a bad grade, but its hard knowing that its not the 'best' grade.
@UnsungTangerine Of course a B is not the best grade there is always a scope for improvement even if it is an A there will still be things you don't know, because knowledge in itself is endless.
Then what can we do?
Accept the grade, understand your shortcomings, tell yourself what you can do better. Then, give yourself a pat, because something is always better than nothing at all. Be proud of yourself for coming this far! Be proud of the little accomplishments you have. I'm proud of you too!
Loads of love & Hugs,
Kal.
"B" for best, it may not be great, but you've done the best you can do to achieve this grade. Be proud of yourself that you're able to maintain a "B" grade level. As long as you've put in all your effort, any grade "B" or "A" is a reflection to that. Believe that you have given it your all, and be accepting of it.
I remember when I kept getting "B's", and was only like a couple percent away from an "A", but I had already tried my best, so I was fine with that. As long as I didn't fall below a B-, my average GPA will be decent enough.
@UnsungTangerine Hi there Tangerine! I deal with the same feelings in my classes, and it is hard (maybe impossible) to completely get rid of those feelings. Of course you will get some grades that are better than others, that's how academics work. But, getting a B is nothing to feel bad about. I'll give you a viewpoint that changed my focus:
There would be no point going to school if you got 100% in absolutely everything (because there would be nothing left to teach you). Getting a B means you gave it your all and now have new ways to improve.
I'm an education student and spend a lot of time thinking about marks. I'll let you in a teacher secret: we don't give Bs to make students feel bad. We give out marks to help you improve! Sometimes our marks don't even make it to your final marks (that's called 'formative assessment'), it's meant only to help you get better.
I'll leave you with this: you are SO MUCH MORE than a mark. Whether you get an A, a B, or any other mark, you are doing fantastic and working to be the best you can be :)
@UnsungTangerine
It's great to hear that you have a good GPA, but it's also common for students to have high standards and want to achieve the best possible grades. However, it's important to remember that a B is still a good grade and it's not worth it to stress yourself out over getting an A in every class.
Remember, you've put a lot of effort and hard work you've put into your studies and the things you've learned. The goal of education is not just to get good grades, but also to learn and grow as a person.
Wishing you the best of luck. ❤️

Hi! Hope you’re doing well. Feeling insecure about your grades is quite normal. As humans we have overemphasise on the bad things. Surprising,no? This is because the good ones are so widely diffused in our lives that we forget to feel grateful for them. A grade never determines your worth. Give your best shot and that is enough. I wish you all the best for your future endeavours.
