Bug in Status: Online, offline, busy
Hi, I noticed two issues with the Online Status feature. These issues were not present before. They are a regression.
The first is: It says I'm offline. Then when I select "Busy" or "Available" it doesn't change. It still says Offline.
The second is: I sometimes get messages from Listeners asking if I am available to Listen to them. Even though I am not available at that time.
Has 7cups leadership commented on these bugs? Is there a great software engineer working on it?

The status bug is a bit commonly encountered one at the time, so I'd hope the tech team is aware and working on it already.
Haven't really come across any update or intimation from the leadership end so far.

For the second thing, are listeners messaging you to listen to them?
In this case, please do inform them, they need to log into their member account (or create one, if they don't have it already), for personal/ emotional support. A great post as to why we need to have role boundaries here. (You can share it with the listeners reaching out as well)
And if they need any ongoing chat support or listener role related assistance, you can direct them to the listener support room, where mentors and peers can support them with their queries!
If at all, this is members reaching out for support and you're not available at the time, you can probably mention in your bio about the status bug (members are more likely to reach out when they see a listener online/active) and you're not available to listen!
When your status is set to offline, you're not obliged to reply, but if you can, you can simply inform them your unable to take chats at the time, and they can reach out to other available listeners for support!
@calmingOcean6858 Hi there, the dev team is aware and will be looking into this bug soon.
This bug may only be impacting some of us, and I have not personally encountered it. However, someone else who mentioned it found that any edits of the general settings page fixed it. If you try that too, let me know if it works for you.
