Daily Prayers, Intentions, & Beams!

I often reflect on what makes our community so extraordinary. It’s the way we listen, the way we relate, the way we care for one another, and accept one another where we’re at, struggles and all.

We are connected because we share the human experience. We find collective strength in one another and draw on that to not just survive, but thrive. Together, we're building a community where healing is possible, growth is inevitable, and hope is attainable.

This interconnectedness is how we combat loneliness and create ripples of positive change, one connection, one conversation, one act of kindness at a time.

Inspired by this shared connection and the incredible strength we find in one another, I have created this space for us to offer and receive support, pray for one anothers, set intentions for our community, and send positive energy to those in need. Think of this as our daily practice of collective care.

Whether you have a specific prayer request for support or want to share a positive affirmation, this is the place to do it.

Whether you're going through a personal crisis, facing health concerns, or other difficulties, you can ask for an empathetic ear, offer prayers, or just comforting words. If you'd like a specific kind of support, please do mention it with your share. You can say as much or as little as you like about your situation. (It can be as simple as "please pray for x", "please send me strength/blessings/vibes", "please keep me in your thoughts", "send beams" etc!)

Or you can set intentions for your day. (ex. I intend to be more mindful of my own emotional needs and practice self-care.)

If you have things that you want us to pray for and think about and send positive energy your way, let us know. (The community team is going to be engaged and following this closely in a more direct way, too. Many of you, like Glen, pray for our community daily or keep us in your thoughts!)

This is an invitation for us to surface and build on these activities to strengthen our shining city and further lift one another up.

Thank you H for posting this and for the invitation! This feels full of warmth and grace. Two of my favorite things!

My prayer request for today is for all of us - members, listeners, leaders, team - to consistently make progress in learning how to better help one another. That we could see the big things and the little things. The obvious things and the hidden things. That all of these elements would surface and that we'd do a better and better job of stringing them together to help us all heal and grow. Thank you 🙏

@Heather225

thank you for this space it a wonderful idea too.

praying for all us at  7 cups to believe in self. set mind of a healing journey  and to take steps to heal.

"Mental health is not a destination, but a journey. It's about how you drive, not where you're going." - Noam Shpancer

praying that everyone on 7 cups will see it ok to be true self here on 7 cups. even if one feel offline they can not be true self. as to be true self is very good for our mental health in so many ways.

"Being able to be your true self is one of the strongest components of good mental health." - Lauren Fogel Mersy

@Heather225

Hi, Heather,

My Dear Lord God,  Please continue to guide me to follow your example to be a good person.  To act in good ways.  To speak in good ways.  And to remain silent when that is the good way to be.  Thank you.  Amen

Hi H! 😊 ❤️

Many thanks for seeing the want/need to give us a fresh start on a different thread with the same heartfelt thoughts in mind. ❤️

While I enjoyed being a part of previous thread for quite awhile, well, over time it kind of took on a life of it's own and maybe not something of how it was originally intended. I saw the need to "back peddle out". So be it.

I too pray for 7 cups, for those who ask for prayer and for those that don't request it. I like to stay consistent and work by the principle of "begin as you plan to continue". Having said that, I have subscribed to this thread. Even if you don't "see me", I still "see you" and will pray behind my screen with out feeling the need to announce my presence.

*high fives* 😊 and *hugs* ❤️

@SparkyGizmo thank you for your support! Yes, I was talking with H about this and we wanted to do something more centralized. The other thread was great. It was just buried, so hopefully we can all join and build out from here. And, whenever you feel led, please share that you have prayed or supported someone. I think it can mean quite a bit to other folks to know we are taking time to care for them, especially if it seems like there are less people that do care for them that surround them.

I belong to a different tradition than most folks in the mainstream, so if my prayers seem oddly formatted, that's why. But that's ok, one of the reasons I do belong there is that we believe in multiple paths to the same God and we try to avoid "correcting" others in their faith, but we hear and acknowledge their beliefs, rituals, practices and liturgies as viable and essential portions of the whole. God certainly isn't "threatened" by dissimilarities, so why should we?

Our community is blessed today, and so it is. 💛

@DogLover1959 well said! Yes, this thread is meant to be very inclusive no matter your faith tradition, religion, or spirituality. Those differences are real and are honored and respected. The commonality of looking for help and support from others is just one thread that we are highlighting here. So it is a both / and situation. Faiths/religions/spiritualities are both different from one another (and to me all have many beautiful elements) and the thread of needing help/support/care is similar.

Starting a new workout schedule and am setting an intention to do no less than 30 minutes every day this week without skipping. It's really hard to do this because it's new and my body is very much protesting it 😅 Beams to consistency!
